Ada Lee Linville, 85, of Seymour, IN, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 3:09 p.m. in Seymour Crossing Nursing facility. Ada was born on September 9, 1932 in New Madrid, MO, the daughter of John and Mattie Black, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Samuel B. Linville on June 14, 1964 in Seymour. He preceded her on September 14, 1985. After their marriage Ada went to work for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus. She then worked for Lutheran Community Home for 20 years as a nursing aide, retiring in 1980. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved to cook and was always available to put on a great meal, which included her special sweet potato pie.
Ada was a member New Life Apostolic Church; She enjoyed her church family and held bible studies in her home. Everyone that met her, loved her. In her past time, she enjoyed going fishing.
She is survived by her five children: Monique McKneely, Aleesha Wilson, Cathy Linville, Sammie Linville and Tommy Linville; grandchildren: Christopher, Brianna, Shurice, Brandon, Airron, Jordan, Aaliyah, Kobi, Kaylynn, Aneesha, Kaden, Kaleb, Keira and Averie; great grandchild, Syon; and her brother, Peter Black
In addition to her parents and husband, a daughter, Clydia Payne and 7 brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
