Obituary

Charles Delano Stanton, 66, of Seymour, IN, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Charles was born on September 17, 1950 in Seymour, the son of Woodrow and Mary Ethel Brown Stanton. He was married to Delilah Hope Otte, on January 29, 1968 in Seymour.

Charles was a self- employed carpenter and enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards, but especially loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years; Delilah, his children: Charles Edward (Diana) Stanton, Ronnie Eugene (Tracy) Stanton, Brenda Kay (Phillip) Cooper, Woodrow Clarence Stanton; grandchildren: Dustin (Jordan) Nowaskie, Damon (Savannah) Stanton, Brandon Stanton, Brooke Stanton, Austin Stanton, and Jalen Stanton; great-grandchildren Dayven and Dalayna Stanton and a brother, Joseph Stanton.

His parents, sister, Thelma Lorene Stanton and brothers, Asa, David and Paul Stanton preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017, at Burkholder Funeral Chapel where Rev. Herman Gorham will officiate. Visitation will be 11 am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
